Opening of Traditional Devta Mela
On the occasion of inauguration of the fair a colorful procession is taken out from the HPPWD Rest House, Sundernagar. Chief Guest of the Mela performs pooja of all deities at Community Hall, Sundernagar and afterwards the chariots of these deities are shifted to Jawahar Park.
Competition of Bajantries with their musical instruments
Every year a competition is organized between Bajantries. Registration is done when Devta Mela starts. A panel of judges constituted by the Mela Committee judges the talent of Bajantries. Winning team is awarded by attractive prize by the Mela Committee.
Closing of Traditional Devta Mela
Traditional Devta Mela is closed on Navami. All deities gathers at Mahamaya Temple. A colorful procession is taken out from Mahamaya Temple across the Sundernagar Bazar along with Devi Mahamaya. Afterwards all the deities and chief guests shift to the Jawahar Park Sundernagar. Chief Guest performs the pooja of Mool Mahunaag and other deities. This Mela ends, after the declaration of closing of Devla Mela by the Chief Guest.
